1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or using our electrical services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WIREMYLIGHTS LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Our Services

2.1 Service Description

We provide professional electrical services including:

  • Lighting design and installation
  • LED lighting upgrades
  • Solar panel installation
  • EV charging point installation
  • Smart home systems
  • Security and CCTV systems
  • Electrical testing and certification (EICR)
  • Emergency electrical repairs

2.2 Qualifications

All work is carried out by NICEIC approved contractors in accordance with BS7671:2018 Wiring Regulations.

3. Quotations and Pricing

3.1 Quotations

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on information provided by you and may be revised if circumstances change.

3.2 Additional Work

If additional work is required beyond the original quotation, we will discuss this with you and obtain your approval before proceeding.

Important: Fixed wire testing (EICR) may reveal defects that require remedial work. We will provide a separate quotation for any necessary repairs.

4. Appointments and Access

You agree to:

  • Provide safe access to your property at the agreed time
  • Ensure the work area is clear and accessible
  • Inform us of any known hazards (e.g., asbestos, live circuits)
  • Be available or provide a contact number during the work

If we are unable to access the property or the work area is not ready, a cancellation fee may apply.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are as follows:

  • A deposit may be required for materials or large projects
  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed
  • We accept bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and cash
  • Late payments may incur interest charges at 8% above Bank of England base rate

6. Warranties and Guarantees

6.1 Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 3-year warranty on our workmanship from the date of completion.

6.2 Product Warranties

Products and materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. We will provide warranty information upon completion.

6.3 Limitations

Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse or negligence
  • Modifications made by third parties
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Issues arising from pre-existing conditions

7. Liability

Our liability is limited as follows:

  • We are fully insured with public liability insurance
  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects in your electrical system
  • We are not liable for consequential losses or loss of profits
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the contract value

8. Cancellation

You may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee of £50+VAT.

9. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, severe weather, pandemics, or supply chain disruptions.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
